Abstract

The relationship between various laboratory tests with field establishment (%) was studied in coriander. The field establishment had significant positive correlation with SG (r = 0.99), AA test (0.98) and tz test (r =0.92) while others were non-significant. Therefore, these three tests were found reliable in prediction of field establishment. The tests like standard germination and accelerated ageing test could predict field establishment to a reliable level (R2=0.98) and (R2=0.97), respectively. The importance and implications of these tests have been discussed in relation to field establishment.
